Crew houses in Antibes

Written by a working superyacht captain · rates seen on the day they are quoted

Cannes, Nice and Monaco do not have a crew house scene

Sweeping the Yachting Pages and Superyacht Services Guide directories for Cannes, Nice, Golfe Juan, Villefranche and Monaco turned up charter operators and general hotels, not crew houses. Crew working that far out commute from Antibes or fall back on ordinary hostels. Villa Saint Exupery Beach and Antares, both in Nice, are general purpose, not crew run.

What a bed costs in 2026

Roughly EUR 25 to 60 a night, or EUR 140 to 305 a week, for a bunk in a shared room. The curve is seasonal and the houses publish it. The Crew Grapevine rate card runs EUR 250 a week in January and February, EUR 275 a week in March to May, EUR 305 a week from June to September, then back to EUR 260 for the last quarter. Private rooms run EUR 100 to 500 a week. Amma's is the cheapest name on the coast at roughly EUR 20 a night, but that figure comes from a 2023 guide and needs confirming by phone.

Deposits and lookalike listings

Bohobos takes a EUR 50 arrival deposit and will not check you in after 23:00, so read the terms first. Crew Grapevine is non refundable and takes bookings by WhatsApp only, which is exactly the shape a scammer copies. Never wire a deposit to an unverified number claiming to be them. Some houses share a phone number or an address across different listed names. The Crew House and Bohobos both trace to the same number and the same Avenue Saint Roch address, and Crew Lighthouse and Glamorgan share a line. That is not proof of anything, but call and confirm who is actually taking the booking before you pay.

How crew actually book

Phone, WhatsApp or email direct with the house, not a booking engine. The platforms mostly carry the general hostel side. Agency referral and word of mouth outweigh online reviews here.

  • Serena Crew House (Antibes) named in multiple crew forums and a Facebook page ("antibesyachtcrewlife"/Serena crew house), but no address, price, or independent site found; task rules out logging into Facebook to verify further
  • Hotel Trianon (Antibes) appears on mycrewkit's crew-accommodation category page alongside Amma's, but reads as a general hotel, not a dedicated crew house, not verified as crew-focused
  • Résidence Stella Maris (Antibes) surfaced when searching "Stella Maris" but is a standard apartment-residence/hotel, not a yacht crew house, likely a false-positive match on the name given in the task brief
  • Crew houses / accommodation in Cannes, Golfe-Juan, Villefranche-sur-Mer, Monaco swept Yachting Pages' Cannes and Monaco accommodation directories, Superyacht Services Guide's regional directory, and direct searches for each town; found no dedicated, independently verifiable crew house in any of these towns as of 2026, general accommodation directories return charter/hotel listings, not crew houses. One search surfaced an unnamed 'family-run crew house with 3 rooms' in Golfe-Juan but no name, address, or contact could be confirmed

Checked by hand on 19 August 2026. Prices move, houses fill and owners change; confirm the rate and the deposit terms in writing before you pay anything. If a listing here is wrong, email ahoy@joinyachting.com and it will be fixed within a week.

When to arrive and who hires

Beds are half the question. The season decides whether turning up is worth the airfare, and the agencies decide whether anybody reads your CV once you are there. Both are on the Antibes hub page, along with the map and the daywork rate.

Your CV is the only thing that walks the dock when you can't.

I read a CV in about thirty seconds. Most green CVs lose me in ten. SeaPapers builds the one a captain expects: yacht fields, department templates, two-page discipline. Build yours before you book the flight.

Find out what your role needs before you book a single course.

Deck, interior, galley and engineering all want different paper, and half of it has an expiry date. See the list for your role, then keep every certificate, medical, passport and visa in one place a boat can open with one link, with an email before anything runs out.

Then store them in the SeaPapers folio.

Both live at SeaPapers. One account, one link to the boat.
